Having won the Best Fiction Award from the University of Central Florida (Yes, The Blair Witch Project University), her short fiction From Joy We Come, Unto Joy We Return was published in the on campus literary magazine: Cypress Dome and remains to this day in University libraries around the USA. Later, she achieved the semi-finals in a Laurel Hemingway contest and published a few poems in the Thailand’s Expat magazine, and an article in the Thailand’s People newspaper. Additionally, she has published poetry in the Korea’s AIM magazine, the American Poetic Monthly magazine and Twisted Dreams Magazine.

Book Trailer

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
Good Question. I finished She Speaks to Angels and wanted to do Falling angels next, but something kept bugging me —another character. My mind kept spinning around this character Dumah who turns out to be Kian’s sister and Dameon’s lover. I thought I had to tell her story before I go into Falling Angels and introduce her to readers. She just seemed so central to the story and motivations of both Dameon and Kian.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
I wrote the story in about a few night. Each night after work with the darkness visible outside my window.
Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I love story telling and developing characters as well as worlds. They allow us to peak inside of ourselves, inside of the human condition and explore.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Ummm, I used to say editing but now I kinda like it too. I’d have to say promoting actually.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Another good question! I think I’d be Albert Einstein and see how he saw the world or Cleopatra with all her dominance and strength. If I could be anything though, I’d choose to be a Bonobo for a day, and come back knowing what they actually think and feel.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Gosh, I throw out stuff all the time. I don’t like old food. Bread seems to get old fast and moldy, but it is not in my fridge. I’d have to say vegetables tend to wither uneaten.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
Falling Angels very soon followed by Angel Codes a few months later and it completes the AngelFire Chronicles. Finally Mers, the last book in the Mer Chronicles. Mers is only comprised of two books. We find out about Ethan, his mum and sister and all their intentions. One confusing family. LOL.

I will then finishing my film Shifters http://shifterevolutions.blogspot.com and promoting the film and will start my new book line in September 2014 under M. Black (Dystopian and Thriller novels).http://miablackthrillers.blogspot.com as well as writing more for my other book line http://rebeccamayromances.blogspot.com which is historical and contemporary romances.

But check my amiblackwelder.blogspot.com which is made up of paranormal and scifi novels.
