Lita Harris spends her time between New Jersey and the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania, where she writes most of her books. She also lived in Alaska for a short time just for fun. An avid crafter, unused supplies clutter her basement and attempts at making pottery, jewelry, and stained glass are proudly displayed in her house, usually behind a picture or holding a door open. She also makes candles and homemade soap. With enough books to stock a small library she may need to construct a building to store her literary obsessions.

She writes in multiple genres, including women’s fiction, contemporary romance, paranormal, and cozy mysteries. For more information about Lita, please visit her website at www.LitaHarris.com or at twitter.com/litaharris and facebook.com/litaharrisauthor.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
My favorite holiday stories center around family and tradition. It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie and I never tire of it. I wanted to write a story that captured the closeness of different generations and the importance of handing down traditions. That was my goal with Christmas Spirits.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
Approximately five weeks. Most of the work is investing in the idea and characters, I can move onto writing the story once I have that worked out.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
The creation of new relationships. I enjoy the discovery process and am often surprised to see what surfaces as I work my way through the story. Also, consuming ridiculous amounts of chocolate.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
The result of consuming ridiculous amounts of chocolate.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
This is a hard question to answer and I thought about it for a few days. Hmm, I honestly cannot come up with anyone I would want to be. I’m happy being myself so I’ve never given it any thought to be someone else. Now if you asked who I would want to meet, I could give you a lot of answers.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Thanks for reminding me, I haven't checked in like forever. That shows you how often I cook. Upon a quick look I found a pint of white rice that is as hard as cement so it’s been in the fridge for a while, and soy packets, which I'm sure are still good, do they ever go bad?

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
My novella, Love at Christmas will be released by Sweet Cravings Publishing in early December 2013 and I have been asked for a sequel. I’m also revising and infusing more magick into my Donnelly women trilogy and have two contemporaries started, so I’ll be busy.
