Firebolt by Adrienne Woods‏

I was born and raised in South Africa, where I still live with my husband, and two beautiful little girls. I always knew that I was going to be a writer but it only started to happen about four years ago, now I can’t stop writing.

In my free time, If I get any because Moms don’t really have free time, I love to spend time with friends, if it’s a girls night out, or just a movie, I’m a very chilled person.

My writing career is starting with Firebolt, book one with the Dragonian Series, there will be four books in total and two to three books that is about the stories taking place inside The Dragonian Series.

I do write in different Genres, I have a woman’s fiction called the Pregnancy Diaries, but it would be published under another name. And then I have a paranormal series, called the Watercress series. There are about ten novels in that one.

So, plenty of novels to come out, so little time.

I hope you are going to embrace the Dragonian Series as much as I loved writing them.

Dragons. Right. Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales, and sixteen-year-old Elena Watkins was no different.

Until the night a fairy tale killed her father.

Now Elena is in a new world, and a new school. The cutest guy around may be an evil dragon, a prince wants Elena's heart, and a long dead sorcerer may be waking up to kill her. Oh and the only way Elena's going to graduate is on the back of a dragon of her own.

Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales. Now it's time for Elena to believe in...herself.

Hi everyone, and thank you so much for having me here today.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
A: I first started with a vampire series, well more of an aswang series, but the market was over flowed at that time, and I think it still is, so, I decided on doing a novel about dragons. I love, love, love dragon, and all my favorite novels inspired me to write this one.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
A: This book? About 3 years. I started with it in 2009, had a baby in 2010, so the novel had to wait a bit, wrote four more drafts in 2011, join a writing group end of 2012, and finished it off in 2013 before I send it to editors. I ‘ve got about nine drafts in total.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
A: The way you leave this world and enter the world you created, spend time with your characters and led them lead the way, everything just unfold as you start writing.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
A: Revising, Editing, Query letters, Deleting really good scenes that slow down your novel. Deleting sentences you love because they just didn’t fit.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
A: I know this is going to sound Cliché, but Stephanie Meyer. Reason, I just want to know how it feels to see your book being adapted into a movie. C’mon, which author doesn’t want to be her? To know that what you did, was perfect.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
I’m a bit of a freak when it comes to food. Because I have two small girls, I usually don’t keep anything in my fridge after it’s expired. I think it would be a bottle of wine. Four months. I think.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
Book 2-7 of the Dragonian Series.
I have the Pregnancy Diaries, a woman’s fiction, I like to get out there next year.
My Aswang Series, called the Zodiac Series, book one, Blaze, I would like to release somewhere next year too.
Book one of the Watercress series, it’s a Paranormal/mythology series for New Adults and it’s about Triton the sea god. I also try to get it out end of next year or beginning of 2015. So I do have plenty, just not enough time.

You can find me on facebook underneath https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Dragonian-Series/301375039891281 or Twitter: erichb3. I do have a blog fan site for the Dragonian Series if anybody wants to check that out: It’s http://thedragonianseries.blogspot.com. When I do release my other novels, their web pages and everything will be linked from this site.

Thank you so much for having me. God bless all of you and never give up.

Kind Wishes,

Adrienne
